Question was, “Can We End Alzheimer’s?”
Their latest findings stared that by 2050 4.7 to 13.8 million people is expected to have Alzheimer’s disease. Health cost is also expected to rise from $200 Billion to more than $1 Trillion, with Medicare and Medicaid cost up by 500%.
However there is a glimmer of hope, as other researches showed that diet and exercise plays a critical role in the reduction of one’s chances to develop the disease.
The article called the do not, “Brain Threats” as it went on to list a few:
1. Saturated Fat
2. Trans Fat
3. Excess Iron
4. Aluminum
“Brain Protecting Foods”:
1. Nuts and Seeds
2. Blueberries and Grapes
3. Sweet Potatoes
4. Green Leafy Vegetables
5. Beans and Chickpeas
6. Vitamin B12
Recent researches led Scientists to believe that if we change the way we conduct our personal lives by the way we eating certain earthy foods and effective exercises we may very well reduce our chances of getting Alzheimer’s.
This is a step in the right direction and there is a lot more to be done.
